Verse of Light

The first light of morning slips quietly across distant peaks, touching the highest ridges before slowly descending into the valley below. Mist lingers over the winding lake, softening every shoreline as the forest awakens one gentle breath at a time. A few wildflowers catch the early sunlight, while leaves overhead shimmer almost imperceptibly in the cool mountain air.

Nearby, a weathered wooden table rests beneath the shelter of an old tree. An open journal waits beside a warm cup, undisturbed, as though time itself has chosen to linger here a little longer. Nothing calls for attention. Nothing asks to be hurried. The landscape simply continues its quiet rhythm—light unfolding across stone and water, birds greeting the morning from hidden branches, the breeze carrying the fresh fragrance of earth, leaves, and distant forests.

As evening comes, the same valley settles into another kind of stillness. The mountains become silhouettes beneath a sky filled with stars, while the moon lays a silver path across the water below. The day's warmth gives way to cool night air, and every familiar shape softens into quiet mystery. What was bright beneath the sun remains equally beautiful beneath the moon, revealing that peace is not found in the hour, but in the gentle constancy woven through every changing season.

Perhaps this has always been one of creation's quiet gifts. Without speaking a single word, it reminds the heart that beneath every changing sky there is a deeper rhythm that never hurries, never forces, and never ceases to unfold. Like the mountains, the river, and the turning seasons, life is held within something far greater than itself—a quiet presence revealed not through striving, but through simply being.
